Line 1: The "man" that the author is refering to is the white man that owns her.

Line 6: The author is alluding to "Or over mud puddles"

Line10: The meaning of "I have plowed and planted" is that she works hard as a man.

Line 12: She's saying that no man is better then her.

Line 24: The author is refering to the priest.

Line 28 &29: The famous moment the author is alluding to is that God got Virgin Mary pregnant.

Line 30,31&32: The famous moment the author is alluding to is Adam and Eve eating the apple.

Line 33&34: The author is puting for all women to fit what Eve did.
